Before Your Appointment: Exfoliate
24 hours before your appointment, take an exfoliating shower using a salt scrub, loofah, and/or pumice stone. Scrub your body thoroughly to remove any dead skin. Dead skin cells that slough off soon after spray tanning can leave you looking patchy, so good skin prep is essential — it ensures your color looks even and lasts a full 7-10 days. You'll also want to shave your legs prior to your session.
What to Wear
Plan your undergarments accordingly. When our airbrush tanning solution is applied, it will get on your undergarments, so wear an old bathing suit bottom or plan to go nude if you're comfortable. Many of our Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky brides prefer this for the most even, natural-looking result.
Drying Time Matters
Give yourself plenty of time to dry before dressing. Make sure the solution is completely dry before putting on loose-fitting clothing — any wiping or rubbing against wet solution will compromise your tan.
After Your Session: The First Few Hours
Plan your day to allow 2-4 hours afterward with no water and no tight-fitting clothes. Avoid exercise or anything that causes sweating. No showering, bathing, or exposure to rain for at least 4 hours. Don't schedule any other beauty treatments that day — for example, a pedicure afterward can strip away tan in areas where your feet soak or get scrubbed.
Making Your Glow Last
Your tan will gradually fade day by day, so we recommend scheduling your spray tan 2 days before your event. Avoid products or soaps that scrub away skin — skip loofahs, exfoliating scrubs, and heavy scrubbing, and use a shower gel instead of bar soap to help your glow last as long as possible.
